EXCELLENCE, INTEGRITY & DEDICATION
Tom was a founder and managing partner of one of the largest commercial law firms on the Isle Man and practised for 20 years before retiring from private practice and travelling the world with his family for 18 months. He then became first General Counsel at the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (the FSA) where he was responsible for devising and introducing a transparent enforcement decision making process.
He trained the FSA supervision and enforcement teams on effective case management and was lead counsel on many successful enforcement actions. Having set up the General Counsel department and advising the Board and Executive of the FSA for several years, Tom retired once again. He came out of retirement “one more time” to establish his own firm, Maher Law in 2024, and to bring his skills to bear for clients in high profile and complex disputes.
